Missouri State — John Goodman Amphitheater
Springfield, MO
Outdoor amphitheater AV design.

About the project
The John Goodman Amphitheatre gives Missouri State an open-air performance venue under a tensile canopy — a room with no walls, where reinforcement has to carry to the back of the seating without spilling across the surrounding campus.
Loudspeakers, lighting, and projection were integrated into the canopy's steel framing so the structure reads as architecture rather than a rigging grid. Design work covered distributed coverage for the stepped seating and lawn, stage floor pockets and monitor feeds for portable production, and a weather-tolerant infrastructure that supports everything from amplified concerts to spoken-word ceremonies.
